*Chamisa Mocked For "There Will Be No Elections Under Current ZEC" Remarks* *Follow Pindula on WhatsApp for daily new updates* https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Va84dngJP21B2nWeyM3v?yz MDC leader, Nelson Chamisa, has been mocked for saying that there will never be an election facilitated by the current electoral commission, the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC). Chamisa said that there have to be comprehensive electoral, media and political reforms first before the nation can contemplate on embarking on elections. Officially launching the party’s Road to Economic Recovery, Legitimacy, Openness And Democracy (#RELOAD) at Harare Gardens on Thursday (today), Chamisa said that the current electoral body has a credibility deficit. ---------- Latest itel A06 on Pindula: 32GB storage, 4GB RAM $69 USD WhatsApp: +263715068543 Calls: 0772464000 ---------- He said that elections will only be held after some fundamentals have been established. Chamisa said: > After comprehensive electoral reforms, mutually agreed conditions, international supervision, a credible electoral body. Isu tiri kuti ZEC iripo iyi yanaSilaigwana neumwe wacho uyu, sisi wangu Chigumba. No! There will not be an election muno munyika under those people because they have shown that they have a credibility deficit. They’re not honorable as citizens to run a credible election. So we have to have a proper, independent and credible electoral commision and we’re not joking on this! Social media users, however, were quick to observe a mismatch between his remarks and what is on the ground. They noted that the MDC is participating in the ongoing by-elections run by the same ‘condemned’ ZEC. One social media user Vashe rhetorically asked: > Are they participating in the Lupane By-Election? In resonance with the above comment, one Admire Taguma said: > Funny thing is by-elections are being held and @nelsonchamisa party is participating.
