Mangwana said that trying to overthrow a constitutionally elected government was rebellious and undemocratic. That status of a peaceful country will be maintained by ensuring those that threaten democracy and the liberal values adopted by the New Dispensation are tried and if convicted, removed from society and put in places where they don’t pose a threat to the rest of civilised society. He described the behaviour of intending to overthrow the government as beastly and attention seeking. Mangwana added: > It is understandable that when before a crowd some get excitable and experience a rush of blood to the head. We urge them to demobilise that animal instinct and deploy their faculties located in the higher centres of their brains and embrace constitutional means of opposing the Government. His remarks come after MDC national vice-chairperson, Job Sikhala, reiterated that his party intends to ‘overthrow’ the Mnangagwa led administration before 2023. He accused the government of intimidating citizens in their homes. A few days ago, MDC Midlands spokesperson, Dr Takavafira Zhou, claimed that members of the central intelligence organisation (CIO) were intimidating and abducting MDC members in the Province. He also said that some members were still unaccounted for whilst some are on the run. More: The Herald _If you found this article useful_ *Please support Pindula by forwarding to friends and groups*
