Reports indicate that when the break-in occurred, several motorists (using three cars, a BMW, a white Honda Fit and grey VW Golf GTI) joined the chase and cornered the robbers who then abandoned the ‘getaway’ unregistered Honda Fit and fled in another car. ---------- *HOT DEALS:* *itel A70 - (128GB, 3GB RAM) $89,* *itel A70 - (256GB, 4GB RAM) $99* *itel P40 (128GB, 4GB), (6000mAh) $99* *itel P40 (64GB, 4G), (6000mAh) $93* *LATEST: itel S24 (128) $124; S24 (256GB) $159* Cash on Delivery in Harare & Bulawayo. He said: > A lady had parked a vehicle. On return, she saw a person standing next to her car and was holding a purse which she identified as hers. > She screamed, drawing the attention of the public. The person got into a red Honda Fit which had no number plates. The victim of the robbery, Thobekile Sithole had parked her Toyota Hilux and entered a shop. She said: > While I was in the shop, one of the criminals broke into my car and when I came out of the shop after 10 minutes, I saw the car door open and he was still inside searching. > I had left my car locked using the central locking system, which they managed to bypass. > When I saw him, I shouted and the man came out of the car carrying my purse, which contained my driver’s licence, bank cards, US$20 and ZWL$15. The woman’s screams alerted the robbers who sped off in the getaway car which they abandoned in Makokoba suburb. The robbers then jumped into a Honda Fit which they later abandoned in Mzilikazi. The police finally arrested a suspicious-looking man in Mzilikazi who was said to be helping police with investigations over the robbery. *More: Newsday* _If you found this article useful_ *Please support Pindula by forwarding to friends and groups*
