He added that the probability of the US investing in into renewable energy is great. Their meeting comes at a time when Zimbabwe is facing acute shortages of electricity and fuel. Chasi’s appointment resuscitated the hopes of many which were dying as the crises in the energy sector became worse every day. The power utility, ZESA Holdings has introduced power cut schedules, locally known as load shedding to serve the little power the country is getting. ZESA attributes the shortage of power to shrinking water levels at Kariba dam and also on the debts the country has to power suppliers.
