WhatsApp: 0️⃣7️⃣8️⃣3️⃣ 4️⃣5️⃣0️⃣ 7️⃣9️⃣3️⃣ ---------- It has now been revealed that militant teachers’ union, the Progressive Teachers’ Union of Zimbabwe, (PTUZ) withdrew from the ZCTU in 2012. Responding to Zimlive editor Mduduzi Mathuthu who had asked if PTUZ was pulling out of ZCTU as ZIMTA has just done, PTUZ secretary general Raymond Majongwe had this to say: > We left ZCTU in 2012 after falling out with Cdes there. I may not say more than that. We were the 2nd Civil Service Union to join ZCTU after CSEA. But joining a union has nothing to do with ZCTU politics. Meanwhile, Majongwe has warned the government that teachers will down tools soon if the issue of their remuneration is not addressed. He said: > Teachers are bitter and angry. Salaries earned on Friday have been totally wiped out. > I see work stoppages on the horizon. Up to now Public Service Commission and the government pretend they cannot see the suffering of the workers. _If you found this article useful_ *Please support Pindula by forwarding to friends and groups*
