One of the 3 MDC Vice President’s Elias Mudzuri has said he’s ready to contest Chamisa for the presidency of the party at the upcoming congress in May. Mudzuri dismissed reports in the press yesterday that he is backing Chamisa for the presidency. He said if nominated, he is willing to face Chamisa.

Said Mudzuri to The Standard:

_If nominated, I am prepared to challenge anyone. The news report that made emphatic claims about a supposed deal between myself and Advocate Chamisa, is wholly untrue. No such understanding has been considered, much less reached. The story could have only originated from a very mischievous tale bearer, seeking to engineer and manipulate public discourse to fit in a personal scheme._
