*Full Text: Human Rights Commission Report Polarising & Without Evidence, Says Government* https://www.pindula.co.zw/2019/01/25/full-text-human-rights-commission-report-polarising-without-evidence-says-governme/?article The Minister of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs, Ziyambi Ziyambi, released a statement today in which he attacked the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission’s Report (ZHRC) for being polarising and having “unsubstantiated accusations without caveats or evidence.” Said the statement: _Government has taken note of the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission report. The Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission is a constitutional commission put in place to strengthen our democracy. There is therefore an expectation that they would be impartial and speak without bias. Their report falls short of that standard as it is based not on thorough investigation and only covers the period after the first two most anarchical days of the disturbances_ _Government expects our constitutional commissions not be polarising by making broad and unsubstantiated accusations without caveats or evidence._ _In the interest of fairness and justice Government will engage with the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission in order to map the way forward for the benefit of the people of Zimbabwe._ _In the same vein Government wishes to assure the public that all allegations of misconduct against any of our Security Services will be thoroughly investigated and the law will be allowed to take its course. Those with complaints should report them to the police and they will be treated impartially and with sensitivity._ _It is also important to note that the Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) has issued a statement appealing to all those who wish to complain against the Army to report their allegations to the Military Police on the following numbers: • 0712 842 218 • 078 645 2155 We call upon our media not to whip up emotions but help bring people together as we hold hands one to another rebuilding our country._ _I thank you_ _Hon Ziyambi_ _Minister of Justice and Parliamentary Affairs_ ZHRC released its report early this week. In the report it pointed several incidents where government, the military and the police were found wanting in terms of the respect of the human rights of Zimbabweans. ---------- *Latest itel A70* - now available on Pindula 128GB storage, 8GB RAM *$89 Cash on Delivery.* _We deliver in Harare and Bulawayo everyday between 9am and 4pm_ also available on Zero Deposit to Civil Servants and Pensioners.
