Chitando is also the Minister of Mines and Mining Development. Zanu-PF Secretary for Administration Obert Mpofu also announced that he will not seek to be reelected as a member of parliament for his constituency in this year’s elections to pave way for a younger generation of leaders. He said he will be contesting for a Senatorial seat instead.
