According to State media, the arrangement stated when Mugabe was still Head of State, when he used to receive his monthly salary of $20 000 per month in cash despite the cash shortages in Zimbabwe. This was revealed in a letter written to the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe by the Chair of the Public Service Commission, Mr Mariyawanda Nzuwah, demanding cash for Mugabe.
