Chief Secretary to the Office of the President and Cabinet, Dr Misheck Sibanda has advised all civil servants including the ministers and permanent secretaries that government business should continue as usual despite the political situation. Some ministers are currently in military detention after the Zimbabwe Defence Forces seized power in a military takeover last week.

Sibanda also said that all government ministers should operate from their offices in Harare. He added that all cabinet ministers and heads of ministries must rely on official communication, warning them not to listen to any statement coming from social media.
