*Ammendment to Mines and Minerals Act set to decriminalise the possession of gold* *Follow Pindula on WhatsApp for daily new updates* https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Va84dngJP21B2nWeyM3v?il The government is working on amending the Mines and Minerals Act (Chapter 21:05) to make it more favourable for small-scale miners, informally known as makorokoza. The law which was enacted in 1963 makes it illegal to possess gold, something which has affected small-scale miners adversely. The new Mines and Minerals Amendment Act is expected to create a favourable environment for the mining sector. Team leader of the ease of doing business Technical Working Group created by Government, Professor Ashok Chakravarti said: ---------- *HOT DEALS:* *itel A70 - (128GB, 3GB RAM) $89,* *itel A70 - (256GB, 4GB RAM) $99* *itel P40 (128GB, 4GB), (6000mAh) $99* *itel P40 (64GB, 4G), (6000mAh) $93* *LATEST: itel S24 (128) $124; S24 (256GB) $159* Cash on Delivery in Harare & Bulawayo. We must give them incentives, we must support them because they are doing a wonderful thing for the country. > So those are some of the things that should be coming in the new Act to make sure that there is broad participation of people in mining, and done in a proper way and we increase production and exports.
