Auditor-General Mrs Mildred Chiri has revealed that anti-corruption watchdog the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (Zacc) does not have the title deeds for three houses that are worth $2,4 million. The properties are being used by Zacc employees but the Auditor-General warned that in the case of disputes over the ownership of the houses, Zacc would be unable to prove that it owned the properties. Part of the report reads:

_The commission had no title deeds for the houses or any other documentary evidence that proved ownership. The houses were directly allocated to the commission’s employees. Upon enquiry, I was advised that the matter was under police investigation and as a result I was not able to verify ownership of these houses. The commission may have no legal recourse in the event of a legal dispute over ownership of the houses._
