After being frustrated, Chinotimba promised to call the individual Zanu-PF Politburo members to lobby them to push for Cde Chinx to be declared a national hero. Chinotimba was unhappy that Cde Chinx had been denied the honour yet some other Zanu-PF members who were not involved in the liberation war were buried at the National Heroes Acre.
