Zimbabwe’s power generation at Hwange Thermal Power Station has dropped to under a third of capacity for the same reasons. ZPC indicated that Hwange was producing 275 Mega Watts against an installed capacity of 920 Mega Watts while Kariba Power Station was generating 567 Mega Watts against an installed capacity of 750 Mega Watts. The three stations that were closed are Munyati, Bulawayo and Harare and they were not producing anything. The stations have an installed capacity of 100 Mega Watts, 90 Mega Watts and 75 Mega Watts, respectively.
