*Mandiwanzira's radio licences should be withdrawn as they were issued illegally says Parly Committee* *Follow Pindula on WhatsApp for daily new updates* https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Va84dngJP21B2nWeyM3v?cv The parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Media, Information and Broadcasting Services wants the radio licence for ZiFM Stereo to be withdrawn. The station is owned by Minister of ICT Supa Mandiwanzira under AB Communications. Mandiwanzira used to serve as the Deputy Minister of Media Information and Broadcasting Services. He was recently granted another two broadcasting licences to operate commercial radio stations in Gweru and Masvingo respectively. James Maridadi, one of the committee members said: ---------- Pindula is best experienced with the Android App. *Download APK here:* https://zero.pindula.co.zw/media/apps/apks/pindula23.apk _On Econet, Pindula does NOT use your data_ ---------- > The explanation that we got as a committee from the Attorney General’s office was that Supa, when he got those radio licences, he was still a deputy minister and he was not a minister. Then we wondered what the difference was between a deputy minister and a minister, because they all have the same appointing authority, they belong to the same party and the only difference is that one sits in cabinet while the other does not. > The law is very clear and it says that if you are a member of the executive, especially if you are a minister of information you cannot apply for a radio licence, you cannot apply for a TV station licence and you cannot apply for Newspaper publication licence More: New Zimbabwe itel A50 now available on Pindula at $84 64GB storage, 2GB RAM. _ideal for light usage_ _If you found this article useful_ *Please support Pindula by forwarding to friends and groups*
