Delani Ngwenya (32) who was an administrator at Kana Mission Hospital in Gokwe hanged himself after his car drove into his family home killing his mother, Mrs Francesca Ngwenya (60), her friend Mrs Kerisa Maraiti (75) and his father Mr Paul Ngwenya (age not given) who died at Parirenyatwa Hospital after sustaining some injuries.

Before hanging himself Delani unsuccessfully stabbed himself in the chest with a knife after the accident that killed his mother and her friend who were in the house. A relative took some of the pictures that circulated on social media. Midlands Provincial Medical Director Dr Simon Nyadundu confirmed the incident to The Chronicle who report that police were not immediately available for comment.
