Although the date for Mwenezi East by-election is yet to be announced, Zanu PF Masvingo Provincial Commissar Jeppy Jaboon told TellZim.com that his party has already started to campaign for Mwenezi East constituency and confirmed that they are already preparing for primary elections to replace the late Joshua Moyo.

Said Jaboon:

_We are going to give you full details after our Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) on Saturday. I can however, confirm that we are already receiving CVs from Mwenezi and about six candidates have expressed interest in contesting in the by-election. I was already in Mwenezi on Sunday for a meeting. We are not looking back… we want to win that seat at all cost. Zanu PF is not afraid of Bhasikiti whom we heard is likely going to represent Zim PF._
