*Beitbridge council starts cutting water supplies to defaulters to recover more than $5 million* *Follow Pindula on WhatsApp for daily new updates* https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Va84dngJP21B2nWeyM3v?wb Beitbridge Town Council has with immediate effect started cutting water supplies to defaulters collectively owing more than $5 million in unpaid bills. On December 5, 2016, the council made a written appeal to residents to honour their bills or risk being disconnected. But most people ignored the appeal which left the council with no option but to cut off water supplies for defaulters. Residentials, mostly in the high-density owe $3 million while Government departments owe $70 000 and the rest was in the industries and commercial sections. ---------- *Latest itel S24 now available on Pindula* $124 Cash on Delivery in Harare & Bulawayo. Most Zimbabweans are not paying water bills in anticipation that the ruling Zanu PF would instruct local authorities to cancel debts to woo voters ahead of the 2018 elections like what happened before the 2013 elections.
