Flamboyant businessman Wicknell Chivayo reportedly failed to buy 500 canes worth $10 000. According to Tafadzwa Nyamuzihwa Chivayo pledged to buy canes for the blind in June. In a Facebook post Nyamuzihwa wrote:

_If you remember on the 20th June on Shining Star I had Sir Wicknel Chivayo he pledged to buy 500 walking canes for the blind worth USD10 000. He asked me to send him the quotation for the canes then he makes a direct payment to the company and just did like that. On the other hand a lot of people inbox me, call me, send me sms and what’s app asking about the walking cane pledge? Sir Wicknell just went silent on me and the pledge was NOT fulfilled. So he didn’t honour his word so those who are still asking about the canes guess it’s now clear…Thank you for understanding but with the number of calls, sms,whats app and inbox I had to give you feedback._
