Wicknell Chivayo’s silence on the promise he made to pay the Warriors $250 000 as a token of appreciation for the Warriors if they qualified for the 2017 Afcon finals in Gabon, was questioned yesterday as NetOne unveiled the same sponsorship package yesterday.

Zifa President and businessman, Philip Chiyangwa came to Chivayo’s defence and said Chivayo was his personal sponsor and not a Zifa funder. He said:

_Chivayo sponsored me and not Zifa._

Sportszone reports that they could not get a comment from Chivayo, whose mobile phone was not reachable.
