Cash-strapped ZIFA paid the Might Warriors $800 for taking part at the African Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) 2017 held in Cameroon. tThis is the first time in a very long time that the ladies have received their allowances from ZIFA.  However, they are still owed thousands by the mother football body.

One of the players is quoted by Newsday as saying:

_It’s not much considering what we are owed, but its something and we are really grateful_
