*5 things you did not know about Zimbabwe's youngest graduate* https://www.pindula.co.zw/2016/09/30/5-things-you-did-not-know-about-zimbabwes-youngest-graduate/?article On Thursday 29 September 2016, Zimbabwe’s youngest graduate, Maud Chifamba made history when she graduated from the University of Zimbabwe at the age of 18 with a Bachelor of Accountancy Honours Degree. She was one of the 3 667 graduates from nine faculties and the College of Health Sciences who were capped by President Mugabe at the institution of higher learning. To celebrate her achievement we list five things you did not know about her: She was listed by Forbes Magazine as one of the 20 Youngest Power Women In Africa in 2012 and received the Great Young Achievers Award at the Great Women Awards held in Dubai as well as the Panel Choice Award at the Zimbabwe International Women’s Awards in 2014. Maud wrote her Grade Seven examinations at the age of nine and had six units. Her father was a soldier and her mother a housewife. After failing to get funds to pursue Secondary education, Maud Chifamba read at home and in two years time in 2009 when she was only 11 she sat for her Ordinary Level examinations and passed. During the course of her studies she was awarded a Government scholarship for her A Levels and another from the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority for her university education.
