It left isolated light showers in the northern parts of Midlands, Harare Metropolitan, northern parts of Manicaland, Mashonaland Central and Mashonaland East Provinces, yesterday. These showers were coupled with lightning in some places. ---------- itel A70 256GB $99USD WhatsApp: https://wa.me/+263715068543 Calls: 0772464000 ---------- Today’s morning hours were cloudy and mild in the southern districts of the Midlands, Bulawayo Metropolitan, Matabeleland South, Masvingo and Manicaland Provinces but became less cloudy by evening. This was due to the continued drying effect caused by Tropical Storm Freddy (currently more than a thousand kilometres away, near the southwest coast of Madagascar) as it draws moisture away from Southern Africa. *FORECAST FOR TOMORROW, WEDNESDAY 08 MARCH 2023* Hot and humid conditions with brief cloudy periods and a slight chance of isolated afternoon thunderstorms are anticipated in areas along the Zambezi Valley. All other areas are expected to be mostly sunny and warm conditions. It should be mild in the morning and evening. *IMPACTS* Hot daytime conditions are to be anticipated, these increase dehydration and evapotranspiration. Thunderstorms remain probable, and these pose a threat to humans and livestock as well as property. • Thunderstorms are usually coupled with localized wind gusts. *ACTIONS TO TAKE* Keep hydrated and if there is a need to stay outdoors for a prolonged period, ensure to wear a sunhat or sunscreen. Monitor plants and animals/pets for moisture and heat stress and act accordingly to reduce these impacts by watering or giving them adequate water to drink. When lightning is visible or thunder audible, go indoors and avoid contact with water or metal objects. *WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR THURSDAY 09 MARCH 2023* It should be cool in the morning with clear skies country wide becoming warm by afternoon. Clouds are expected to filter in Manicaland province from noon, leading to afternoon and evening thunderstorms and strong winds in places.
