*Murape Relives 2014 Pain, "Betrayal" By Dynamos* *Follow Pindula on WhatsApp for daily new updates* https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Va84dngJP21B2nWeyM3v?ew Former Dynamos captain Murape Murape says club officials reneged on a promise they had made to him just before he retired from playing football. Murape was Dynamos captain when the club won its fourth consecutive Premier Soccer League (PSL) title in 2014 and actually scored a goal in his final appearance for the club before he hung his boots three weeks later. He posted on Facebook: ---------- itel A70 256GB $99USD WhatsApp: https://wa.me/+263715068543 Calls: 0772464000 ---------- > In my last game for Dynamos in 2014, I scored 1 goal as we clinched our 4th consecutive league title. > 3 weeks later I was forced to retire from playing football by the incoming technical team and the Dynamos executive chairman then. > They promised me a coaching role within the Dynamos juniors set up but still, they never owned up to their word after all the service and sacrifices I had made for my beloved boyhood club. Last month, former Dynamos midfielder Chamu Musanhu also accused the club of betrayal. Speaking in an interview with a local daily publication, Musanhu said before reaching the CAF Champions League final in 1998, the club promised the players “heaven on earth” but reneged on the promises despite achieving the feat. He said: > I think the executive which was there during that time should rate as the most corrupt in the history of the club. > Players were promised heaven on earth. There were a lot of false promises. I think that executive messed everything up for the Glamour Boys. > Imagine, we were made to travel to Malawi by road. We were made to sleep at the airport back in those days when the campaign was still in its infancy. > It was hell all over. But with the results coming, everything started to change for the better. We were actually promised houses in the event we reached the final. _If you found this article useful_ *Please support Pindula by forwarding to friends and groups*
