Pindula News presents the report and forecast below: *PREAMBLE* *ZIMBABWE EVENING WEATHER REPORT AND FORECAST ISSUED AT 1600 DRS ON FRIDAY 07 OCTOBER 2022 VALID UNTIL SUNDAY 09 OCTOBER 2022.* > It started off mild and hazy with clear skies across the country. It became hot in the afternoon. Meanwhile, pressure is rising over the southeastern coast of South Africa. *FORECAST FOR TOMORROW SATURDAY 08 OCTOBER 2022* > It should be cloudy and windy in the morning in Matabeleland South, Masvingo and southern parts of Manicaland provinces. As the day progresses, mostly sunny conditions should dominate. The remaining parts of the country should be sunny, hazy and hot in the afternoon though mild in the morning. *IMPACTS* > • The dry weather and high temperatures being experienced increase the risk of veldt fires. > • The prevailing weather has the effects of increasing evapotranspiration rates. > • Hot conditions may cause dehydration and heat-related illnesses such as heat stroke, heat exhaustion, and heat rash. > • Accumulation of heat in places such as inside parked cars and other vehicles may affect passengers. *ACTIONS TO TAKE* > • Veld fires are extensive so farmers are expected to construct fire guards that are at least 9 metres wide and free of burning vegetative matter; put out any fires found in open veldt fires and road-sides. Do not leave any fire unattended. > • Farmers are advised to adjust irrigation management accordingly; using plenty of mulch to retain moisture can help to cool the plants, especially during the day; the best time to irrigate can be early in the morning or in the evening. Farmers can also resort to farming practices such as shade cloths to shade their crops. > • Take enough fluids to compensate for water loss through dehydration with medical doctors’ advice. > • Do Not Leave Children in Cars: Cars can quickly heat up to dangerous temperatures, even with a window cracked open *TEMPERATURES FOR THE MAIN CITY CENTRES* Max today Harare ---------- Latest itel S24 available on Pindula: 128GB storage $119 USD WhatsApp +263783450793 ---------- 31 Bulawayo 35 Gweru 34 Mutare 30 Kwekwe 35 Kadoma 35 Masvingo 36 Chinhoyi 35 Lupane 36 Bindura 34 Marondera 30 Gwanda 38 Min tomorrow 15 15 14 14 15 15 16 15 16 15 13 17 Max tomorrow 29 31 30 27 32 33 30 34 34 32 26 32 *FORECAST OF TOMORROW’S WEATHER IN HOLIDAY RESORTS* *TEMPERATURES* *Min Max* VICTORIA FALLS: Sunny and hot 15 34 KARIBA: Sunny and hot 20 36 GREAT ZIMBABWE: Cloudy and warm 16 30 NYANGA: Sunny and warm 09 23 VUMBA: Partly cloudy and warm 10 29 MATOPOS: Partly cloudy and warm 12 28 CHIMANIMANI: Sunny and hot 13 29 *WEATHER FORECAST FOR SUNDAY 09 OCTOBER 2022* > Cool and partly cloudy morning conditions are anticipated in Masvingo and southern parts of Manicaland provinces.
