The statement comes after police discovered remains presumed to be of Livingstone. In a statement seen by Pindula News, MOPSE spokesperson, Mr Taungana Ndoro expressed regret to the family. He said: *PRESS STATEMENT ON LIVINGSTONE SUNHWA* > The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education empathizes with the family, relatives and friends of Livingstone Sunhwa (19) who has now been presumed dead after having been missing from St Matthias Tsonzo High School on 5 December 2021. > The Ministry had since started its investigations on the whereabouts of the missing pupil but had not made any credible leads when on 24 June 2022 reports of remains allegedly resembling Livingstone Sunhwa were discovered in a shallow grave dose to St Matthias Tsonzo High School. > The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education remains committed to the safety, health and protection of all pupils, teachers and staff members at all schools and now awaits the law to take its course and due process and diligence to be done for the establishment of the facts surrounding the presumed death of Livingstone Sunhwa under the custody of St Matthias Tsonzo High School. > The Ministry prays for calm and respect as it enhances its measures to ensure that all pupils within schools in Zimbabwe are safe, secure and protected. Lastly, the Ministry expresses regret to the family and to the nation for these unfortunate circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Livingstone Sunhwa. > Mr. Taungana B.
