FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza said that his youthful squad has bigger ambitions than settling for a top-four finish in the 2022 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season.

FC Platinum are six points behind league leaders Chicken Inn.

Speaking at his press briefing ahead of a potentially tough tie against Triangle FC at Mandava Stadium in Zvishavane this Saturday, Mapeza said:

> We are not just fighting to finish in the top four, but we are playing to see how good the season ends for us.

> FC Platinum had a lacklustre start to the season after letting go a number of senior players in a rebuilding exercise.

However, they have since revived their hopes of winning a fourth title on the bounce as the youthful players are gaining confidence.

Mapeza said Triangle, who are three points ahead of FC Platinum, cannot be taken for granted. Said Mapeza:

> We are playing a very good team, Triangle, they are doing well which means it’s not going to be an easy match.

> We have to pick up from where we left when we played against Yadah in Harare.

Meanwhile, Triangle coach Jairos Tapera said the enforced two week-break could affect his team’s rhythm and alleged bad officiating at the home of FC Platinum.
