The party, that morphed from the MDC Alliance, is still haunted by the issue that also affected MDC Alliance. ---------- Latest itel A06 on Pindula: 32GB storage, 4GB RAM $69 USD WhatsApp: +263715068543 Calls: 0772464000 ---------- CCC submitted double candidates to stand in at least two municipal by-elections in Bulawayo, exposing differences in the party’s top echelons. The four candidates were accepted by the nomination court sitting in Bulawayo in Wards 9 and 26 ahead of the by-elections set for March 26. Bekithemba Nyathi, a former member of the People’s Rainbow Coalition (PRC), a defunct party that was led by former Vice President Joyce Mujuru, eventually withdrew from the race. The party, however, failed to resolve the issue of double candidates in Masvingo Urban, Ward 4, where Thokozile Muchuchuti and Aleck Tabe both filed their nomination papers to contest in the 26 March by-elections. The two candidates were called to Harare to meet senior party leaders to resolve the matter but there was no breakthrough after Muchuchuti failed to travel to Harare, claiming she was unwell. Despite the intervention of top CCC officials led by Vice President Lynette Karenyi-Kore, a consensus remained elusive as neither of the candidates was willing to withdraw. Addressing party supporters at White City Stadium in Bulawayo this Saturday, Chamisa said he would personally sign nomination papers for all party candidates to avoid fielding more than one candidate. *More: Pindula News* _If you found this article useful_ *Please support Pindula by forwarding to friends and groups*
