*ZUPCO Takes Delivery Of 90 More Buses* *Follow Pindula on WhatsApp for daily new updates* https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Va84dngJP21B2nWeyM3v?rr The Zimbabwe United Passenger Company (ZUPCO) Tuesday took delivery of 90 Golden Dragon buses that will be added to the parastatal’s fleet. The buses were imported by the Government through the Durban port in South Africa before being driven to Harare via Beitbridge. ---------- itel A70 256GB $99USD WhatsApp: https://wa.me/+263715068543 Calls: 0772464000 ---------- Law enforcers have been battling to eliminate illegal transporters and unregistered vehicles who are carrying travellers at undesignated points taking advantage of ZUPCO’s failure to satisfy the demand. ZUPCO acting chief executive Mr Evaristo Mudangwa said the buses were at the ZUPCO depot in Belvedere, Harare where they would be commissioned before being distributed across the country. He said: > We have received 90 buses today and the date of commissioning is yet to be announced. President Mnangagwa commissioned the previous deliveries of 450 Golden Dragon buses this year from China usually in batches of 50. While ZUPCO is working on extending its Harare passenger rail service to Norton, the passenger company is also revamping the trains to make them more comfortable for passengers. The return of the ZUPCO recently is viewed in light of the government trying to revive the public sector transport system that has been in shambles. The sector has been predominated by private-owned commuter omnibuses some of which have been violating local rules and regulations at the same time putting the lives of passengers in grave danger.
