ZANU PF denies the allegations suggesting that the opposition party staged the attack, that left some of the MDC vehicles damaged, to soil the image of the governing party. In a Twitter post this Saturday, Chamisa said the “vigilante groups” are state-sponsored. He said: > THE RISE OF VIGILANTISM IN ZIMBABWE… > Zpf vigilante groups have immunity & impunity. They’re state-assisted & protected in their acts of terrorism & unlawful operations. The stoning of cars, violence & barricading of roads is criminal, stone-age& primitive hooliganism. Peace is fragile! The recent inter-arty and intraparty political violence that rocked come as Zimbabwe is scheduled to have general elections in 2023.
