In a letter addressed to the 31 July Movement coordinator, one Muridzo and dated 1 May 2021, the Officer Commanding Mbare District Chief Superintendent J. Mafoko said the clean-up campaigned scheduled for 4 May has not been approved. ---------- itel A70 256GB $99USD WhatsApp: https://wa.me/+263715068543 Calls: 0772464000 ---------- Chief Superintendent Mafoko said Ngarivhume and his colleagues should let the City of Harare conduct the clean-up exercise. He wrote: > Your notification letter to carry out a cleanup campaign between Matapi and Matererini Flats on 04 May 2021 and at the Vegetable Market on 07 May 2021 starting at 1000hrs to 1400 hours has been noted. > You are being advised that your application is not approved. This has been necessitated by the fact that the last time you held your campaign, you ended up politicizing the event by flashing banners with political information. > In view of the above, may you leave the cleaning exercise to the City of Harare to deal with. The Transform Zimbabwe (TZ) president was briefly arrested by police on Saturday, 24 May 2021 during a cleanup campaign in the same locality. In a social media post, the anti-corruption protest organiser claimed police officers from Matapi Police Station held the two trucks that were to be used for clean-up. The officers later allowed the programme to go ahead. _If you found this article useful_ *Please support Pindula by forwarding to friends and groups*
