The increase in fuel prices is being blamed on the weak Rand against the US Dollar and the blockage of the Suez Canal which South Africa’s Department of Mineral Resources said is causing a delay for all cargo containers including oil tankers. ---------- itel A70 256GB $99USD WhatsApp: https://wa.me/+263715068543 Calls: 0772464000 ---------- Other factors that have been given for the increase in fuel prices in South Africa include the increase in Brent Crude oil price from 61.10USD to 64.00USD per barrel, the increase on the Fuel and Road Accident Fund (RAF) Levies on both petrol and diesel by 16.00c/l and 11.00c/l, respectively, with effect from the 7th of April 2021 as well as the adjustment to revised road and pipeline transport tariffs. 93 unleaded petrol is expected to go up by 95 cents per litre whilst 95 unleaded is expected to increase by one rand.
