When the officials there checked, they discovered that he had produced a fake result slip with passes which were not appearing on his original slip. He was arrested and he implicated Goreraza who in turn implicated another accomplice who is still at large. Magistrate Denis Mangosi remanded them to March 3, 2020, on a $3 000 bail each. Forgery of academic documents has been on the rise with reports suggesting that some government officials had been in offices using bogus results.
