The State is expected to have disclosed all remaining documents to the defence on January 18. The Bushiris surrendered themselves to Malawian Police in November and Nyimba released them unconditionally a few days later saying there was no formal extradition request from South Africa. Last month South Africa sent the formal extradition request to Malawi and the state was today seeking the arrest of the couple before Nyimba ruled in the couple’s favor. Bushiri and his wife are facing fraud and money laundering charges and Bushiri alone is facing 3 rape charges.
