The robbery victim was looking for a transfer deal to swop his US dollars in cash for US dollars in his Nostro account. It is alleged that the accomplices of the two accused approached the man pretending as if they had funds for a Nostro transfer and needed cash. They allegedly accompanied the complainant to Avondale to do the transaction. After they had boarded the complainant’s vehicle to do the transaction, they were pounced on by Sadomba and Mudumbe. The two identified themselves as police officers and told the complainant that he was under arrest for illegal dealing in foreign currency. The victim was handcuffed and as they drove to “the police station”, around the Avenues, the robbers threatened the complainant before jumping into their getaway car and speeding off with the US$48 000 in cash. *More: ZBC News* _If you found this article useful_ *Please support Pindula by forwarding to friends and groups*
