*"Not Necessary" War Veteran On ZANU PF Factionalism* *Follow Pindula on WhatsApp for daily new updates* https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Va84dngJP21B2nWeyM3v?xa A war veteran and former cabinet minister Tshinga Dube has criticised factionalism in the ruling ZANU PF saying those aspiring to take over from President Emmerson Mnangagwa should wait for the party’s elective congress. The congress is scheduled for December 2022, a few months before the country’s next harmonised elections. Dube said: ---------- itel A70 256GB $99USD WhatsApp: https://wa.me/+263715068543 Calls: 0772464000 ---------- > For now, I think those who are talking about succession must wait and give … Mnangagwa time to deal with the current economic problems. Succession is decided by congress. > President Mnangagwa must be supported to execute his mandate, not factionalism and unnecessary succession wars. These are not necessary at all. There is an urgent need for unity of purpose in the party. Dube’s remarks come amid reports that there are divisions in the governing party due to the emergency of two factions – one led by President Mnangagwa and the other by his deputy Constantino Chiwenga. There are also some reports suggesting that Chiwenga working in connivance with some military chiefs has been plotting to topple his boss. Mnangagwa has expressed the interest to stay in power until 2030 but some in his party seem to be against the idea.
