According to the latest council minutes, Dube was offered a 24 407-hectare commercial stand in Selbourne Park which is adjacent to another piece of land also offered to him by the local authority a few years ago as part of his conditions of service. ---------- Latest itel S24 available on Pindula: 128GB storage $119 USD WhatsApp +263783450793 ---------- Mguni was recently allocated a 2.5-hectare prime land in Lower Rangemore for a paltry $165 per month for 25 years. Bulawayo residents have demanded the reversal of the deals, with Bulawayo Progressive Residents Association (BPRA) Coordinator Emmanuel Ndlovu, saying in a letter to Council: > Does the town clerk need a hectare for accommodation? The land in question is given to him as a commodity for commerce rather than conditions of service. Even corporates have been unable to negotiate for such terms that are out of touch with emergent realities. > We are calling forward the mayor and town clerk to declare what they already own in assets in line with the declaration of assets and interest policy adopted by the BCC (Bulawayo City Council) some time ago in keeping with section 198 of the Constitution… Mguni chairs the powerful General Purposes Committee that approved the land transactions and residents said they have noted a trend between the town clerk and the mayor doing each other favours. *More: NewZimbabwe.com* itel A50 now available on Pindula at $84 64GB storage, 2GB RAM. _ideal for light usage_ _If you found this article useful_ *Please support Pindula by forwarding to friends and groups*
