The Leopard Rock Hotel has announced that it will reopen its facilities in a staggered or gradual manner to reduce the risk of coronavirus contagion.

In a statement posted on its the company’s Facebook page, the company said it is now selling coupons valued at US$125.00 and valid for three years.

Below is the statement in full:

> Leopard Rock is selling USD $125 coupons valid for three years. The Leopard Rock Vouchers are available for ZWL 9,000 each but their value will remain denominated at USD $125.

> Leopard Rock remains in lockdown with 30 of its staff members in a “bubble”. We need your support to sustain the hotel during this time.

> We plan to gradually reopen sections of the hotel – starting with the golf course, the outdoor restaurants, and finally the hotel in sections – The Turret with 14 rooms, then each floor of the new wing with 15 rooms.

> At each stage, we will assess how to best mitigate the risk of contagion to our staff and guests.

> We will start by taking bookings from “friendship groups” and “circles of trust” where all the guests will be known to each other and able to trace in the event of a breakout. We may ask guests to present a recent COVID test.

> Our coupons will be valid towards any rate or purchase at Leopard Rock (including specials and activities).

> They will be transferable on request. At the moment we have a limit of 10 x $125 coupons per customer.

> Coupons paid for in ZWL will show the value of LRD $125 (Leopard Rock Dollars) to indicate they were paid for in local currency for compliance purposes.

> Payments will be accepted by RTGS bank transfer, Credit Card, EcoCash, and Cash.
