*ZIFA's Transparency In COVID-19 Relief Package Disbursement Questioned* *Follow Pindula on WhatsApp for daily new updates* https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Va84dngJP21B2nWeyM3v?ku ZIFA is reportedly under fire as clubs are reportedly angered by the association’s decision to pay them the bailout package by in local currency, Highlanders and Dynamos have questioned the logic behind ZIFA paying them in ZWL after they have been given the money in USD by FIFA. According to the Chronicle, the breakdown announced by ZIFA does not tally with the amount it said it was allocating to the resumption of football. ---------- itel A70 256GB $99USD WhatsApp: https://wa.me/+263715068543 Calls: 0772464000 ---------- The disparity which is in excess of ZWL$30 Million is stemming from the following breakdown: > Of the total package of $110 500 000, Kamambo broke it down as follows; $25 675 000 (PSL), $1,3 million (PSL administration fees), $4,8 million (testing kits), $6,5 million (medical equipment) and $32 500 000 for women’s football. This does not add up to $110,5 million, but to $73 700 000. Further, the Chronicle used the prevailing bank rate of $1: ZWL$66 and discovered that the figures announced by ZIFA and the amounts it is set to receive from FIFA and CAF don’t add up: > Suppose all is well and the allocation does come to $110.5 million using the official bank rate at the time of the announcement by Kamambo, which was pegged at 1:65,87, that figure translates to US$1 677 546,68 yet everyone knows that US$1,8 million is the allocated figure by Fifa, where is the remaining US$122 453,32? The publication is also questioning the allocation made to the women’s football; > The other question that demands an answer is why did Zifa decide to give women’s football $32 500 000 when Fifa exclusively allocated them US$500 000 which, based on prevailing exchange rate last week, was equivalent to $32 935 000. Where has the $435 000 gone to? ZIFA is set to receive US$1.8 Million as a COVID-19 relief package, $1.5million from FIFA and $300 000 from CAF and it will come in 2 batches, the first batch will come this month while the second one in January 2021.
