Military strategists have over the years emphasised that soldiers’ morale is essential for the accomplishment of missions adding that low morale can manifest in desertion, revolt, psychological issues and absenteeism. Therefore the level of the Zimbabwean army’s morale as suggested by the minister is threatening the prevailing peace and security.
