*Is Loadshedding Back?* *Follow Pindula on WhatsApp for daily new updates* https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Va84dngJP21B2nWeyM3v?wv The Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority, ZESA has reportedly started rolling out power cuts as the country has started to slowly reopen the economy. The development has also been attributed to the winter-wheat farming which the power utility has given priority to ensure enhanced wheat production in the country. ---------- itel A70 256GB $99USD WhatsApp: https://wa.me/+263715068543 Calls: 0772464000 ---------- The power utility had last implemented loadshedding before the coronavirus induced lockdown was imposed on the country in March. There were reports of power cuts from a number of suburbs in Harare including Kuwadzana, Mbare, Warren Park on Friday. There is however no official communication from the power utility to explain the recent power cuts. Zimbabwe has a power crisis that has seen some parts of the country going for about 18 hours without power during the peak of the crisis. The crisis is attributed to ageing equipment at Hwange Power Station and shrinking water levels at Kariba Dam, issues that have seen the country generating less than required power. The crisis has also been blamed on corruption by government officials which has stalled the refurbishment of the country’s power stations and has also seen the Gwanda Solar Power Project by Intratek fronted by Wicknell Chivcayo failing to take off since 2015.
