Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Misheck Sibanda has said Cabinet has deferred its regular Tuesday sitting to Thursday, saying more pressing engagements have emerged. Sibanda said in a statement:

> Owing to unforeseen circumstances, this week`s Cabinet meeting has been rescheduled to 09:00 hours on Thursday, 21st May 2020 at State House.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa was expected to host the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Cooperation for a one-day Extraordinary Organ Troika Summit of Heads of State and Government over the security situation in Mozambique.
