In a statement, police said that the now deceased and Talkmore Kwaini, who is admitted at a local hospital, were assaulted by the suspects on Sunday at Mandley Park Ruwa. In another incident, criminals waylaid a Harare man and struck him with an iron bar on the head along Leopold Takawira Road. The man later regained consciousness and was taken to the hospital where he was treated and discharged. He, however, passed away after his condition had deteriorated. Police said in a statement: > A Harare man was struck with an iron bar on the head and lost consciousness along Leopold Takawira Way on 16/05/20 at around 1900 hours. An unknown suspect searched him and stole his belongings. > He later gained consciousness and was taken to Parirenyatwa Hospital, where he was treated and discharged but did not report the matter to the Police.
