The MDC refused to join the Political Actors Dialogue (POLAD) forum which was initiated by President Mnangagwa last year arguing that the forum was a circus. Both ZANU PF and the MDC agree on the need to negotiate observing that dialogue will aid in resolving socio-economic and political crises in the country. However, they disagree on how the dialogue should be undertaken, who should be on the table and the convenor.
