*War Veterans Fume Over ZANU PF 'Betrayal'* *Follow Pindula on WhatsApp for daily new updates* https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Va84dngJP21B2nWeyM3v?ss War veterans have expressed disquiet over the ruling ZANU PF party’s alleged betrayal, after it ignored many of the promises the party made to them in November 2017, when the then President, the late Robert Mugabe was forced to resign by the military. Speaking to the Daily News on Thursday, the Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association (ZNLWVA) Mashonaland East provincial chairperson, Daniel Sigauke said: ---------- itel A70 256GB $99USD WhatsApp: https://wa.me/+263715068543 Calls: 0772464000 ---------- > We will be meeting as a provincial council next week to discuss the way forward regarding this issue, which is worrying us a lot. We had hoped to see war veterans getting the positions as resolved by the central committee. In November 2017, ZANU PF’s central committee resolved to set aside a quota for former freedom fighters in all contested ruling party elections, with the post of political commissar reserved for the ex-combatants. The war veterans claim that the resolutions were ignored in the just-ended Zanu PF district co-ordinating committee (DCC) elections in Harare. *More: Daily News* _If you found this article useful_ *Please support Pindula by forwarding to friends and groups*
