Chief Zvimba has apologised to President Emmerson Mnangagwa over the Mugabe family’s decision to snub the National Heroes Acre and bury the late former President Robert Mugabe at Kutama Village.

The traditional leader said that there was unanimous agreement initially to bury Mugabe at the Heroes Acre with Chatunga and Tino expressing satisfaction with the decision. Said the chief:

Mugabe was laid to rest at his rural home three weeks after his death. His family had accepted the government’s offer to build a mausoleum for him but had a sudden change of heart.
