Public Service Commission (PSC) chairman Vincent Hungwe said the payout date for all public service pensioners has been moved from 27 September to 3 October 2019. In a statement, Hungwe said:

> The Public Service Commission regrets to inform all public service pensioners that we are unable to meet the scheduled Friday 27th payout date.

> The change has been necessitated by the granted approval to review pensions in line with the cost of living adjustment given to serving members.

> We are working flat out to finalise this process and we should be able to pay the 3rd of October 2019.

> We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused and kindly ask all our members to bear with us.
