The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) says that a man from Insuza torched a hut where a family of eight were sleeping. The suspect then went out and hanged himself. Police said in a statement:

> In Insuza, on 24/07/19 a family of eight escaped unhurt when the hut they were sleeping in was set on fire by a 33-year-old man.

> This follows a misunderstanding between the 33-year-old man with one of the family members who was his girlfriend.

> The man was found dead, hanging from a tree branch, the following day.

> Members of the public are urged to solve their disputes peacefully and not resort to violence.

In another development, police said that five suspects were arrested for a spate of robberies committed in Kadoma and Sanyati. Police said in a statement:

> Five suspects, Tongai Kaurai (28), Maxwell Mangena, Trust Ndunduma, Prince Chiweshe and Nesbert Mazise were arrested in connection with a spate of robbery cases which they committed in Kadoma and Sanyati.

> The quintet was targeting motorists and their passengers in the robbery cases were property (cash, cellphones, metal detector, groceries) worth $10 888-00 was stolen and $4 820-00 was recovered.
