MDC secretary for Education, advocate Fadzayi Mahere, has said that Job Sikhala’s are not clear and could have meant anything. Mahere said that it is not a crime for one to state that they want to overthrow the government. Posting on Twitter, Mahere said:

> 1. Merely stating that you’ll overthrow the Govt isn’t a crime. You have to organize/urge/set up an organization with a view that that group will overthrow the Govt.

> 2. The overthrow has to be unconstitutional. Sikhala could have meant impeachment. #FreeJobSikhala

> Meanwhile, some are saying that although Skhala could have meant impeachment, he was understood by both his party and the ruling Zanu PF to mean a coup d’tat!

> Others are arguing that there is no constitutional government in Zimbabwe to speak of.
