Nduna was last week acquitted by Mashonaland West Magistrates court after the state failed to provide sufficient evidence for a conviction. ---------- Latest itel S24 available on Pindula: 128GB storage $119 USD WhatsApp +263783450793 ---------- Nduna allegedly fired four shots into the air on May 1, 2018, after party members charged menacingly towards him during the Zanu-PF primary elections at Chinengundu Primary School, Pfupajena, Chegutu. In his application for discharge, through his lawyers, Nduna claimed that he fired the shots in self-defence and to protect US$4 000 that was in his car. In granting Nduna his application for discharge, the court noted the following: > The evidence led by the State was discredited by cross-examination and fissures and contradictions emerged. > Further, it is humbly submitted that from all the evidence led by the State, there is no grain or drop of it upon which a reasonable court can convict and the same must be discharged without further ado. > Lastly but not least, it is submitted that there is no need for the accused person to be put on his defence as there is no likelihood that the State may salvage a case out of it, which is even so not permissible. Nduna was represented by Chambati Mataka and Makonese legal practitioners. *More: The Sunday Mail* itel A50 now available on Pindula at $84 64GB storage, 2GB RAM. _ideal for light usage_ _If you found this article useful_ *Please support Pindula by forwarding to friends and groups*
